Samsung is Samsung because of being able to pull things like this, this fast - ladies and gents, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has surfaced in the rumor mill and it looks like a perfect rival to the 7.9-inch iPad mini.
It took Samsung only two months after the launch of the iPad mini in November to come up with an 8-inch tablet of its own and the Galaxy Note 8.0 could get an official unveiling as early as the end of February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

We've also seen numerous leaks of the device under its GT-N5100 codename with the first leaks being from around October.
