Microsoft rings in 2013 with some new Windows 8 ads

There is no rest for the marketing department at Microsoft as the calendar resets and we start a year anew. The recent Surface ad highlighted productivity, this new duo highlights creativity.

In the first ad, we are greeted with the song “Everything at Once,” by Australian singer Lenka who is also the star of the ad. While Microsoft highlights the apps that are included with Windows 8, Lenka dances in a black and white room with a motif of stripes, shades and patterns while wearing black and white pajamas.

The star of the second ad, “Free to be Me,” puts the Lenovo Yoga 13 in the spotlight with a cameo appearance by the Asus VivoTab. The commercial shows the Fresh Paint application in action along with SkyDrive and Maps while the artist finds inspiration to paint some sunshine and makes you want to paint sunshine too.
