'Jersey Shore' Crew Tells 'Buckwild' Gang 'Just Be Yourselves'

'We never changed for anybody,' JWoww tells MTV News about the controversy around 'Buckwild.'

If anyone understands what it's like to star on a controversial reality show, it's the kids of "Jersey Shore." While we're going to miss them now that their show has officially wrapped, MTV is proud to welcome the "Buckwild"crew to the network. But, the show has already gotten under some people's skin.
You see, ahead of the show's premiere, some folks, like Senator Joe Manchin from "Buckwild's" home base of West Virginia, aren't too pleased with the series already. But, the "Jersey Shore" crew has this bit of advice for MTV's latest party kids: Block out all the noise and just have fun.
'Jersey Shore' Stars Give Advice To New 'Buckwild' Cast
"I would definitely say to the kids of 'Buckwild' stand your ground, be yourself," JWoww told MTV News ahead of the premiere, airing at tonight at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. "That's what made us who we are today. We never changed for anybody and enjoy the ride."
It seems everyone on the "Shore" cast shared in that sentiment. The best advice they have for the network newbies is just be themselves. "Remember there are no rules to this game," Mike "the Situation" Sorrentino explained. "And to just be yourselves, 'cause at the end of the day, when you are not being yourself it's called reaching and everybody could see it, and that's not real."
Sammi added, "They're young kids and they're just enjoying life, so just go with it and don't listen to anyone else but yourself."
And, in case you're wondering if there's any tension between the two crews, think again. The MTV vets seem excited to check out the new show. "Just keep being yourselves no matter what's said or how big the show gets ... you know just continue to be yourselves," Ronnie said. "I think I'm gonna watch the show. It looks pretty fun."
There's another castmate ready to see what's in store for the kids of "Buckwild." "Honestly I'm really excited about the 'Buckwild' show," Deena noted. "We had a lot of controversy, a lot of people didn't want us filming, but I think that it's going to be great for their community. It's going to show all these kids and how they represent themselves. It's not them representing where they live. It's them representing themselves and they have to remember that, and so does everybody else."
At the end of the day, Vinny notes it's really just all entertainment. "People know what they want to watch on TV. That's why 'Jersey Shore' was a hit," he said. "I don't care who you are, you like laughing and 'Jersey Shore' was funny, same with this show. It looks like it packs it all in."
