Skype 3.0 for Android is optimized for tablets

Skype 3.0 for Android is available for free from the Google Play Store and brings the usual ability to make voice and video calls over cellular or Wi-Fi. Those calls are free of course, when they are Skype to Skype. You can also make low priced calls to other mobile phones or landlines. Those with Android tablets have been using the phone app, which really didn't make the best use of a tablet's real estate. But that is all changed with the new update as Skype 3.0 for Android is optimized for Android tablets.

The new UI for tablets is a combination between the regular Android UI and the traditional blue Skype look. And since Microsoft now owns Skype, it should be no surprise that you can now sign into the service using your Microsoft password. Also included with the update is improved audio, important when you're on a voice or video call, and the usual Raid housekeeping which kills bugs dead.
