We have all been effectively “wowed” by the Lumia 920’s camera, especially its low-light performance. More or less, it destroys the competition in that department. In our review of the Nokia Lumia 920, we were pleased overall with its performance despite only a couple misgivings. 

Where the camera shines though is in low-light, nighttime performance, and we were on board with that sentiment in our review. It is simply impressive, setting itself apart from the pack by a wide margin. In fact, nothing else really compares.

That left Keng Chang with a challenge and he decided to see how well the Lumia 920 would take on a “real” camera, that unit being the Canon EOS-1D X. The 1DX is a high-line 18.1MP shooter which can adjust for just about every setting. We will not try to paint this as if it was even a contest; the Canon obviously comes out on top. To round out the comparison though, Chang also brought out a Lumia 900. When compared side-by-side, the Lumia 920 does a very good job and is not such a bad comparison to the Canon.  That is saying a lot since the Canon has a full frame sensor on board and comes with a $6,500-7,000 price tag.
