Verizon arrogantly stamped its logo on Galaxy Note II's home button AND back

Verizon arrogantly stamped its logo on Galaxy Note II's home button AND backThe much anticipated second-generation phablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note II is now up for pre-order on the nation’s largest carriers - Verizon and AT&T. This should make you, the ones waiting for the device happy, but if you actually see what the Verizon-branded Note II looks like, that happiness might quickly vanish into thin air.

Why? Not only were users in the States forced to wait for months after the international launch of the Note II to get it, but on Verizon, the device comes with a shocking Verizon logo slapped arrogantly on the single physical key on the front of the device. Yes, you can’t scratch it off, it’s not a sticker, it’s actually Verizon’s logo there for good.

Now, that’s hard to swallow, but it’s not everything. To get its message straight on the back of the device the Verizon logo along with 4G LTE appears one more time in, written down in a font about twice as large as the name of the device.

Wow. We get it - Verizon subsidizes the Galaxy Note II, but this seems way over the top. The message that this is sending to us sounds like “we, the carrier, to whom you pay over $100 a month for service, own you.” The logo is absurd, atrocious, ugly. But it’s there. To remind you who’s in charge. Is it just you or could this be a dealbreaker for you as well?
