See photos comparing the iPad Mini to the Nexus 7

We should be getting an official look at the iPad Mini in the coming weeks – some rumors are pointing to an unveiling in mid-October ahead of a November launch – but you don’t have to wait to get a feel for how Apple’s diminutive tablet will stack up size-wise with other 7” tablets on the market, as we're bringing you some comparison photos today!

These photos are probably either of dummy units or a mockup built from leaked shells, but they seem to match what has been leaked about the real deal, and nicely drive home the physical dimensions. The iPad Mini looks to be a bit wider than the Nexus 7 from the front (as you would expect from the 4:3 aspect ratio of the screen) but thinner as seen from the side.
