BlackBerry 10 Aristo specs leaked; A-Series model phone has 2GB of RAM and LTE on board

BlackBerry 10 Aristo specs leaked; A-Series model phone has 2GB of RAM and LTE on boardIf the leaked specs that we've seen today on the BlackBerry 10 Aristo are correct, we can all say welcome back RIM. First, to refresh your memory, earlier Monday we passed along to you some specs for a BlackBerry 10 L-Series model said to be a full touchscreen phone called the BlackBerry Laguna. We're talking a 4.2 inch screen with the Qualcomm MSM8960 aboard, which is a dual-core 1.5GHz processor. It wasn't bad for a start because hours later, it was blown away by the specs for a BlackBerry A-Series model called the BlackBerry Aristo.

The BlackBerry Aristo has an OCTA Glass OLED 4.65 inch display with resolution of 720 x 1280. The OCTA part of the screen was recently developed by Samsung and allows the device to be the thinnest BlackBerry yet at 8.85mm thin. A quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm APQ8064 Krait processor sits under the hood with-get this-2 wonderful GB of RAM inside. Someone at RIM has been listening! 16GB of native storage can be pumped up by using the 16GB capacity hot swappable microSD slot.

The battery cannot be removed, but at 2800mAh, who'd want to, especially the way BlackBerry handsets usually last for a while on one charge. There will be an 8MP camera on back that captures video in 1080p at 30fps, and a 2MP one up front. The phone is also equipped with WiFi, microUSB, NFC, DLNA and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. 4 microphones are on board for noise reduction and there is a feature called Face Detect for phone calls. The unit also has LTE connectivity. Yes, we said LTE. And no, judging by the silhouette of the phone, this will not be one that features a physical BlackBerry Bold styled physical QWERTY keyboard.

The specs certainly do sound enticing and if RIM can do just as a good a job of listening when it comes to the design and build quality of the model, the sky could be the limit for BlackBerry 10. This is truly going to get some people excited.
