LG Nexus images surface: Optimus G-like design, on-screen buttons

LG Nexus images surface: Optimus G-like design, on-screen buttonsWe’ve been hearing so much about the allegedly upcoming LG Nexus- similar to the LG Optimus G, coming with wireless charging, and all sorts of rumors - but now we finally have what seems like legitimate pictures of the next Nexus device.

Indeed, the LG Nexus has a back cover very similar to the one on the Optimus G, but at the front it’s almost identical to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. So overall, it looks like a crossover device, a combination of the two. The LG Nexus carries the Mako codename, which aligns with previous rumors, and runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

The camera with LED flash and the loudspeaker are situated on the back, but all of this might change in the final unit, and this is clearly an early prototype, if not only for the “not for sale” label.

Interestingly, an FCC filing reveals that the LG Nexus supports T-Mobile and AT&T HSPA frequencies, but there is no LTE support. Hopefully, that’s an international version that’s surfaced and the U.S. one would have 4G LTE. Check out the pictures below to see the device for itself, how do you like it?
