Apple is tipped ready to acquire the media streaming startup Color. The software engineers there have come up with a new format for recording HD video and broadcasting it that takes very little bandwidth and offers great quality in comparison.
The Color app is available for both iOS and Android, and its users are swearing by it, saying that it provides the easiest way to share video memories instantly with family or friends, or upload pictures on Facebook on the fly.
Apple has already bought one of Color's chief Victor Nguyen startups - Lala in 2009. Now it has allegedly already agreed to acquire its next creation for "high double-digits" amount. With the Color tech, and the valuable patents surrounding it, we can expect Apple to integrate the media broadcasting tech in its Photo Stream feature further down the road.
