Acer Iconia Tab A110 goes right after Nexus 7 with a $230 price, Jelly Bean and a quad-core Tegra 3

Acer Iconia Tab A110 goes right after Nexus 7 with a $230 price, Jelly Bean and a quad-core Tegra 3So far, we should have made it pretty clear - the Nexus 7 is probably the best Android tablet money can buy. Moreover, it costs only $199 for its 8GB version. Now, however, it gets a very, very worthy competitor that on paper actually looks better than it and that’s the Acer Iconia Tab A110.

The Iconia Tab A110 is a 7-inch tablet and it comes for a similarly low price of $230. Its only slight downside is the fact that the screen resolution is 1024 x 600 pixels, but apart from that everything matches or outdoes the Nexus 7. You get the latest Android, 4.1 Jelly Bean, a 1.2GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage but here it is expandable via microSD cards. Awesome!

Not just that, the Acer A110 also comes with a micro-HDMI port that the Nexus 7 is missing, and this allows you to easily beam content from the tablet to an HD TV.

The Acer Iconia Tab A110 release date is set for October 30th for the United States and Canada.
