Dinning says next week's Nokia event is "sounding very exciting"

Nokia's former camera guru Damian Dinning has sent out a tweet in advance of next week's event being held by the Finnish handset manufacturer. Dinning's comment that "next week is sounding very exciting," comes after Verizon's exclusive Nokia Lumia 928 was introduced on Friday. The focus of that device is obviously on its camera. Last week we showed you a video being taken by the device while it was attached to a remote control chopper in flight. Amazingly, the video was as stable as though the phone had been mounted on a tripod.

Dinning can't wait for May 14th

Now that the Nokia Lumia 928 has been outed, what will we see from Nokia on Tuesday that has Damian Dinning so excited? We could see the aluminum clad Nokia Catwalk get introduced along with the oft-rumored Nokia Lumia EOSmodel. This is the Windows Phone flavored version of the Nokia 808 PureView, which offers a 41MP rear camera sensor and is powered by Symbian. 

Perhaps Dinning is excited about the mysterious Nokia Lumia 625, a model that allegedly will be announced at the event next week with the largest screen of any Lumia handset at 4.7 inches. But before you get too excited, there is a reason why it is in the 6xx range. The rest of the phone's specs, from the 512MB RAM to the WVGA resolution, is more low to mid-range than what would be suggested by the size of the display.
