Who stole the OLED? Police raids Samsung Display offices looking for poached LG tech

LG decided to answer allegations it poached Samsung Display employees, who leaked the secret sauce for making OLED panels to it, in the usual way, by filing a counterinvestigation of its own, accusing Samsung of the same thing.

Now Korean publications are reporting that the police raided Samsung Display's headquarters to look for further evidence proving LG's allegations, but LG said it hasn't authorized the raid.

Samsung's spokesperson Jun Eun Sun commented: "“We have no reason to steal other companies’ technology, as we have the world’s best OLED technology.” In any case, OLED is deemed the future of TV panels, on account of its deep blacks, vivid colors and other virtues, so there's bound to be some more competitive tussles between these two Korean electronics giants, ran like chaebols.
