Hey, HTC One X, no Key Lime Pie for you?

At the end of last month, we passed along to you some speculation from someone characterized as an HTC insider who previously passed along accurate information from the Taiwan based company. The rumor was that this Summer, you can expect the HTC One X to receive an update to Android 4.2.2 accompanied by Sense 5. That, of course, is the good news. 

Unfortunately, the same source has a bit of bad news for owners of the handset. A tweet was sent out from this tipster proclaiming that the Android 4.2.2 update will be the last one for the handset. That means that the phone will not receive an update to Android 5.0, Key Lime Pie. Expected to be unveiled at Google I/O next month, Android 5.0 is now delayed.

Currently, the HTC One X is running Android 4.1 after coming to market last year with Android 4.0.3 installed. The manufacturer's new flagship model, the HTC One, recently launched with Android 4.1.2 under the hood, but will be receiving an update to Android 4.2. The HTC One should be capable of getting updated to Android 5.0.
