Google hiring advisors to help Google Glass users

Those developers who shelled out $1,500 for Google Glass during last year's Google I/O event should be receiving their device within the next month. Those waiting for their Google Glass to arrive are probably going to need some help with their new purchase. To help them, Google is hiring 40 advisors that will be based in San Francisco and New York and will travel to Google Glass events as well as help people over the phone. The advisors will also be placed inside the Google stores which are expected to start opening by the end of the year.

In addition to those who purchased Google Glass at Google I/O, there are 8,000 lucky winners who won the #IfIHadGlass contest and most likely a large number of them will require some help too. This is such a different device that even the most tech savvy individual is going to have some problems learning how to use Google Glass flawlessly. By having the advisors ready to lend a hand, Google hopes that stories about Google Glass being too difficult to use don't start appearing in the press, scaring off the public.
