Samsung will stop selling Windows RT-based ATIV Tab due to weak demand

The Samsung ATIV Tab launched as one of the first Windows RT-based tablets, but its sales have obviously not met expectations and Samsung has now confirmed that it will stop selling the device. At least in Germany, Europe’s largest market, all due to weak demand.

This is yet another blow for Windows RT, a version of Windows that does not allow native Windows apps and only supports apps optimized for the new Modern interface with Live Tiles.

Samsung was also yet to launch the ATIV Tab in the United States, waiting to see how well it does in other markets and obviously the data is in and the tablet won’t be coming to the US.

To freshen up your mind, the ATIV Tab features a 10.1-inch 1366x768-pixel display and runs on an ARM processor.
