This time, the image comes directly from Samsung. A tweet from the Korean manufacturer reveals an image that is obviously the Samsung Galaxy S 4, even though it doesn't actually name the phone pictured. Coming from Samsung Mobile US to be precise, the tweet asks, "The countdown for #TheNextBigThing has begun. Who’s ready for the Global Unpacked Event on March 14?"
The image looks exactly like the phone called the GT-I9502, which was described as the Samsung Galaxy S 4 for China. That leaked photo was part of a series of pictures that we showed you this morning. Gone are the squared off corners seen on an earlier leaked photo and which were prominent on a case that was allegedly made for the phone. Instead, we have the rounded corners that are a major part of the design on Samsung's current flagship phone, and used throughout the Korean firm's smartphone line.
The Samsung Galaxy S 4 will be introduced in New York on March 14th and Samsung expects over 100 million units to sell. Each year's introduction of the newest model of the Galaxy S line is quickly becoming a major event in the world of smartphones, similar to what we have seen with the Apple iPhone. During the event on Thursday, Samsung is expected to show off the Smart Scroll feature that uses eye movement to make the content on the screen scroll.
You don't need to go anywhere else for coverage of the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S 4 on Thursday as we will be covering the event live!
