Last month, we told you about HTC's $100 trade-in offer for those purchasing the OEM's new Android flagship, the HTC One. The rules are pretty much foolproof. Pre-register to take part in the offer, and then when the HTC One becomes available, you buy it. Then you send in to HTC the proof of purchase for the HTC One, along with your old smartphone, to receive a Visa gift card in the amount of $100 or the value of your old phone, whichever is higher.
HTC is extending the date you have to pre-register for the offer to April 4th. While the company says that it is due to the "Overwhelming response" from potential HTC One buyers, it also might have something to do with the delays that have pushed back the launch of the HTC One. Another factor might have been yesterday's introduction of the Samsung Galaxy S 4 as those who are choosing between the two smartphones waited to see what Samsung's new flagship would offer.
