It's a hit: BlackBerry 10 gets CBS Sports app

For those BlackBerry Z10 owners who are die-hard sports fans, we have good news. It's like hitting a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th to win the World Series, or scoring the Stanley Cup winning goal in triple OT, or kicking the game winning field goal to win the Super Bowl. This news might even be as cool as taking a pass from LeBron and putting down a 360 degree windmill slam over Dwight Howard. Then again, maybe not. The news is that CBS Sports has added BlackBerry World to the other app stores where it can be downloaded from.

CBS Sports says it will bring "lightning fast" scores, stats and news to BlackBerry 10 users, which for now means BlackBerry Z10 users. Using a "one-screen design" you can see a large number of scores at a glance. Other features include real time pitch-by-pitch MLB updates,and other updates for the NBA, NHL and the NFL. With March Madness upon us, you can even follow NCAA Hoops. 

This is actually good timing because  the  BlackBerry Z10 will be launched March 22nd in the U.S. where sports fans will soon be interested in the Final Four, the 2013 MLB season, the NBA Playoffs and the NHL Playoffs. You will be able to stay on top of all the action from your BlackBerry Z10, and the CBS Sports app which is a free download from BlackBerry World.
