Tizen 2.0 SDK and source code drops alpha, adds support for multi-window and more

Screenshots of Tizen
The Tizen 2.0 SDK and source code have dropped the "alpha" designation and can be downloaded from the sourcelink. The open source OS has enhanced its support for HTML5 and APIs for Bluetooth and NFC are available along with access to a device’s calendar, call history, and messaging subsystems. The Web UI framework now supports both full-screen and multi-window. Features like Text-to-speech, background applications and IP Push are also supported.

Core and native reference apps Calendar, Contacts, Gallery, Phone, Settings, and Video Player are included along with enhanced Web IDE providing WYSIWYG design environment, Chrome-based JavaScript inspector, and JavaScript log viewer. Native IDE provides a project wizard, WYSIWYG design environment, unit test tool, and dynamic analyze. If this sounds like another language, or you're right at home with the lingo, the Tizen Technical Team suggests that you attend the Tizen Developer Conference to be held in San Francisco this May.

The Tizen SDK runs on Windows, Ubuntu and Mac OS X.

UPDATE: Thanks to SamMobile, we have some beautiful screenshots of the Tizen 2.0 UI and it looks clean and "refreshing," probably not what anyone was expecting! Feel free to throw your 2 cents into the comment box.
