If you live in the U.K., you might also want to consider U.K. carrier Three. The mobile operator is asking for £449 ($710 USD) to pre-order the Sony Xperia Z for a PAYG plan. The plan will add an extra £10 ($16 USD) or £15 ($24 USD) per month. If you're looking to get tied up with a two-year deal, Three will take a down payment of £69 ($109 USD) and monthly payments starting at £34 ($54 USD) for unlimited data, 500 minutes of calls and 5,000 texts. Raise the monthly charge to £36 ($57 USD) and get bumped to 5,000 Three-to-Three minutes and 2,000 minutes of calls. Now here is where we revisit the subject of delivery. According to Three, the Sony Xperia Z has an estimated delivery date of February 28th. That date has been confirmed by Vodafone as the launch date for the Sony Xperia Z in the U.K. If you order the phone from Three, the carrier will toss in the High Definition Sony MDR-1R headphones worth £299 ($473USD) for the first 1,000 buyers.
So it looks like those in the U.K. will be getting the waterproof, dustproof Sony Xperia Z before the end of the month. And with the weather in the U.K., that waterproofing is going to be very much appreciated.
