Samsung Galaxy Star will soon get unveiled, to replace Galaxy Y in the ultra low end?

The Samsung Galaxy Star is one device Samsung will bring to MWC and it will be an extremely affordable Android 4.1 Jelly Bean smartphone with a 3.0-inch QVGA display that could likely replace the Galaxy Y as one of Samsung’s most affordable devices. At least that is what the proven reliable source SamMobile heard on the grapevine.

The Samsung Galaxy Star, also known as the Star GT-S5282, will also feature a 2-megapixel camera, 4GB of internal storage expandable via microSD cards of up to 32 GB, microUSB, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 1,200mAh battery.

As a reminder, Samsung has the popular Star feature phone lineup and it seems the Galaxy Star will be the successor to it as the company turns away from feature phones. The Galaxy Star release date is allegedly set to launch in week 15 of the year which falls between April 8th and 14th. The device will launch in scarlet black, and we expect to see it at MWC in a couple of days. We’ll - of course - be live on the showroom floor, so stay tuned.
