iOS 6.1.2 may come next week to fix major security issue

The issues with iOS just keep coming. First, the iOS 6.1 update apparently left some iPhone 4S users unable to use their iPhones as actual phones. Then, two days ago there was a major security flaw found in iOS 6.1 which would allow someone to very easily bypass a passcode lock and get into your device. And, we also just heard that iOS 6.1 could be causing battery drain for some iPhone 4S users.

Luckily, Apple has been working hard to fix all of the problems. iOS 6.1.1 came out to fix the first issue. And, word has it that iOS 6.1.2 could be released next week to fix the major security flaw. Apple has yet to comment on the possibility of the battery drain issue, but battery drain is one of those nebulous issues that Apple rarely tackles publicly.

The word about the iOS 6.1.2 update comes from unnamed sources talking to iFun, which are the same sources that correctly told iFun about the release date of the 6.1.1 update, so it seems reasonable to believe this one too. Not to mention, Apple surely doesn't want this major security issue to stick around too long.
