TracFone is feature phone centric though whereas the company’s Net10 brand offers all sorts of recognizable smartphones, like the Samsung Galaxy S III, and Apple iPhone 4. So, that is a fine place for Huawei’s Ascend W1 to make an appearance.
The Ascend W1 is a nice little package. The 4-inch screen and overall a size fits comfortably in the hand. It has a decent sized 1,950mAh battery too. The 1.2GHz dual-core processor will deliver a clean Windows Phone experience. The device does not support NFC or wireless charging, nor does it have a front facing camera. However, for the market segment this device would target those not critical features.
For those on a budget who have wanted a Windows Phone experience, the Huawei Ascend W1 looks like it will fit the bill.P ricing and release dates are not known right now.
