The king of Pakistani Media, GEO television has now launched Pakistan‘s first 3D animated series titled as “Main aur Mere Dost”. The series is actually an awareness program towards some gender based violence with an exciting story revolving around 4 characters- Alia, Hadia, Faiq & Sheraz & their teacher Miss Naila.
This animated series has been created in Pakistan by Pakistan’s first media technology park with a production facility known as Creative Village-University of Lahore, using 3D technology. The series is designed to educate children about gender equity and to proponent against gender-based violence. The seven episode cartoon series would counter gender convention and would provide a across productive and valuable messages against gender- based violence.
US Deputy Chief of Mission Ambassador Richard Hoagland was the chief guest of the launch event, and said,”The believes that investing in women and girls is one of the surest ways to achieve economic progress, political stability, and greater prosperity for Pakistani women and men.” The other celebrities who spoke at the event includes the technical editor of “Main Aur Mere Dost”, Mr. Adnan Shakeel and famous poet and script editor of the animated series Fahmida Riaz.
