DashClock makes use of the lockscreen widget feature in Android 4.2 and that is why it required the latest 4.2 Jelly Bean to run.
You can extend the widget by adding local weather information, missed calls and text messages logs, calendar appointments, Gmail inbox information and scheduled alarms. The widget then can be added to the Android lockscreen, or used as a standard widget in the home panel.
Best of all it is absolutely free. We definitely recommend you try it out if you have an Android 4.2 device.
