The mobile chip is Samsung's first shot at ARM's big.LITTLE processor architecture, with dual quad-core setup - four Cortex-A15 cores, and four Cortex-A7 ones, with a lot of thermal and power management in-between.
The Exynos 5 Octa is expected to debut later in the year in Samsung's flagship products like the next iterations of the Galaxy phone and tablet line, and when it hits we will be sure to make some tests, and gauge the real world performance/power consumption ratio.
