Remember the Samsung Galaxy Xcover? Most of you probably don't since it didn't have much to shine with in terms of specs. What made it stand out, however, was its IP67 certification, meaning that it was highly resistant to water and dust damage. And the demand for it has presumably met Samsung's expectations since a successor is very likely to be announced in February.
Referred to as the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 (model GT-S7110), the smartphone will offer a 4-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 480 by 800 pixels. There will be a 5-megapixel camera on its back and a front-facing cam of 0.3MP will be positioned up front. Although there will be only 4GB of on-board storage available on the device, a microSD card slot will be present on the device. Inside the unit's 11.9-millimeter-thick, watertight body will reside a 1,700mAh battery, and Android 4.1 or 4.2 Jelly Bean will come out of the box.
Chances are high that the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 will be announced in time for MWC next month, in addition to details, such as pricin
