'There's a few surprises,' she hints to MTV News about 2013 album.
Rita Ora has been circling the U.S. market for some time now. And now that she got everyone's attention last year with her sassy, flirty lead single "How We Do (Party)," she wants more.
And with 2012 over, the blond bombshell is ready to start her next chapter here in the states. 2013 will mark the year that Ora will finally drop her U.S. debut album. And she kind of can't wait, especially since she's enlisted one, or perhaps a few, of her Roc Nation pals to join her for all the party and bullsh--.
"Yes, there is. There's a few surprises. I don't want to give them away, but it's definitely in the Roc family," she told MTV News. "2013 is really important for me because it's gonna to be the first time the U.S. hears my official album and I wanted to put a few extra tracks on there and make it really special. So I'm basically giving you guys a whole new album of new material."
And, while she released Ora to the worldwide market last year, she promises that even those fans will find something new to love on her U.S. release. "So to the world it'll be like a second album, but to you guys it'll be like a first album," she said.
And, Ora is already off to a good start, having welcomed in the New Year with MTV during "MTV's Club NYE 2013". But, her performance was only a tease. She's got her sights set high. She added, "2013's got a lot of things I want to achieve. There's a lot of kind of plans and ideas that are gonna come out in 2013."
In addition to all the buzz about her proper U.S. album release, there's also been chatter that Ora is attached to a role in "Fast and Furious 6," a part previously linked to Rihanna. But, she's playing coy about all that talk. "Rumors?" she said. "Oh, rumors are they funny!"
