It is still not known what Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie will bring, but the timing seems to be out of the question now. Referred to as the K-release, and later mentioned as Key Lime Pie, the Android 5.0 update could start arriving to existing Nexus devices in a few weeks after the unveiling in May, if Google follows the same schedule as before.
First devices running on Android 5.0 are expected in Q3 2012.
That’s the exact time when you can expect to see the new Nexus, of course.
A new hardware reference is also expected to arrive in time for Android 5.0 device launch. Qualcomm is expected to evolve the APQ8084 chip, delivering 2.3GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 420 graphics.
