Alicia Keys Doing Super Bowl National Anthem 'My Way'

'I'm looking forward to really making it great,' she tells MTV News of performing 'Star-Spangled Banner' on February 3.

Alicia Keys is one busy lady — and she's only getting busier.
On top of promoting her new #1 album, the independent film she produced and screened at Sundance and preparing to perform at President Obama's inauguration, the 14-time Grammy winner will also sing the national anthem at Super Bowl XLVII on Sunday, February 3.
Alicia Keys Will Bring Style, Her Way To Super Bowl
MTV News was lucky enough to catch up with Keys just after the NFL made the announcement Friday (January 18) in Park City, Utah, where she is promoting the star-studded drama she produced called "The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete." Unsurprisingly, she is honored to have been asked to perform.
"Oh my goodness, I'm crazy excited about it. Being able to do the national anthem and actually set the whole game off is a dream come true. It's really exciting," she said. "It's a historical moment, that day, so I'm looking forward to really doing it my style and my way, and I'm looking forward to really making it great."
Fans tuning in to watch this year's Super Bowl will not be disappointed by its star power, and it's shaping up to be a showcase of our favorite fierce female vocalists. BeyoncĂ© is headlining the halftime show, which will include the reunion of Destiny's Child and the first live performance of their new song "Nuclear."
If you're looking for a glimpse at what Keys might bring to the big game in February, keep an eye or ear out for her performance during Obama's inauguration weekend.
