There will be nation-wide celebrations of travelers today, as TomTom has updated its application for Android. The new version, 1.1, brings some much-appreciated improvements, like optimized support for some newer smartphones like the Galaxy S III, One X and Nexus 4.
Not only will the app be able to take full advantage of the power of these handsets, but it will also make life easier for users who enjoy its offline navigation capabilities. With this new version of TomTom, maps can now be stored on the microSD card, instead of the internal memory, while the Driving View will also be enhanced to allow for better display of relevant information.
The update is, of course, free, while the app itself, for those who haven't purchased it, is available at the price of $49.99 for the US and Canada version, or $74.99 for Europe.
