The Sony Yuga is now the Sony Xperia Z?

The Sony Yuga could launch as the Sony Xperia Z

You didn't think that Sony would release the C660X as the Sony Yuga, did you? According to a source who has proven himself to be reliable in the past, Sony will be launching the high-end device as the Sony Xperia Z. The unit is expected to offer a 5 inch screen with 1080p resolution and a pixel density of 443ppi. The phone also will have an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP55 and IP57, which means it will be dust and water resistant similar to the Sony Xperia V and the Sony Xperia arco S.

We expect the Sony Xperia Z to feature a quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 12.1MP rear facing shooter. The display will feature Sony's OptiContrastdisplay panel which is the same one used on the manufacturer's television sets but has also been used on the panels for the Sony Xperia V and Sony Xperia Tablet S. The OptiContrast technology uses an extra layer of resin that absorbs light that comes from the backlight.
