Screen Actors Guild Awards Full Nomination List

'Lincoln' and 'Silver Linings Playbook' lead with the most nominations in the season's first major awards.

On Wednesday morning (December 12). the Screen Actor Guild Awards revealed their nominations for film and television acting for the first major awards show of the season. Usually taken as one of the first signs as to how the Oscar race may shake out, the SAGs differ from other awards by focusing solely on acting with members of the union voting on each category.
The format of the awards may explain some of today's more surprising nominations. "Zero Dark Thirty," the recent Best Picture front-runner and victor of many critics' awards, did not snag a nomination in the top category, Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. SAG, instead, decided to honor the cast of "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel," an ensemble made up of some of England's greatest living actors. "Lincoln" and "Silver Linings Playbook" lead with four nominations each.
