Chinese handset manufacturer ZTE is trying to make it out of the land of low-end handsets and it is counting on the
ZTE Nubia N5 to lead it to the land of high-end smartphones. The device has "
top shelf" written all over it, from its unibody construction to the 7.6mm thin footprint, to the quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ864 processor under the hood. The ZTE Nubia N5 is equipped with 2GB of RAM inside and a
13MP camera on back. The 5 inch screen will have 1080p resolution which should lead to a pixel density of a whopping 441ppi. The back will be sporting dual speakers.
The ZTE Nubia Z5 is expected to be released in China sometime this coming week. At that time we should learn some more important information such as the price and the build of Android that will be powering the phone. Until the announcement, we do have some photos of the model to look at. Obviously, with this device, ZTE will compete against the HTC Butterfly and the LG Optimus G. Most likely, the Chinese OEM will wield its pricing gun as a weapon against the competition.
