London inspires Rihanna

RIHANNA has revealed the inspiration behind her new fashion line is the city of London.

The Barbadian singer announced earlier this year that she would be collaborating with British high street retailer River Island on a clothing range.

The star has unveiled a sneak peek at her collection, which will be available in stores from March next year.

Rihanna’s range has a chic sports-luxe vibe, which she explained has influences of the city incorporated into the designs.

‘I find London really inspiring and River Island love to have fun with their clothes,’ Rihanna revealed to British magazine LOOK. ‘I’m looking forward to creating something really special.’

Rihanna recently tweeted a behind-the-scenes picture of the advertising campaign that will accompany the clothing line launch.

Denim shorts, plaid shirts and a distinctive street style were detected in these early glimpses of what Rihanna has conjured up for the design collaboration.

The Diamonds singer also stepped out in Los Angeles last week wearing a slinky, navy blue hooded jumpsuit which is reportedly one of her own designs from the collection. Rihanna has been assisted with her design debut by her stage costume designer Adam Selman and one of the popular highstreet chain’s top designers.
