KYLIE Minogue reunited with Jason Donovan on stage for the first time in 23 years and loved every minute of it.
The former soap stars - who started out as Charlene and Scott in Neighbours - were delighted to be back on stage together as they wowed crowds with a rendition of Especially For You at the Hit Factory Live - Christmas Cracker show on Friday night.
During a musical interlude, Donovan even swept Kylie off her feet as they larked about on stage at London’s O2 arena. ‘How long have you waited for this?’ Kylie asked the audience before finishing up the song.
Thrilled with the ecstatic response from the crowd, she tweeted after the gig: ‘The entire audience sang along with us, thanks everyone. Amazing.’
The Aussie duo was joined by the likes of Rick Astley, Bananarama and Steps at the bash hosted by Pete Waterman. Simon Cowell’s trusty sidekick Sinitta performed a medley of hits.
Pete Burns joined his Dead Or Alive bandmates to play You Spin Me Right Round and Rick Astley belted out Never Gonna Give You Up. Keren Woodward and Sara Dallin of Bananarama also performed, as did Steps who sang The Bee Gees’s Tragedy and One For Sorrow. All the acts teamed up on stage to wrap up the show with Slade’s Merry Xmas Everybody.
