BlackBerry 10 to come with deep Evernote integration

BlackBerry 10 to come with deep Evernote integrationBlackBerry 10, the upcoming overhaul of RIM’s mobile operating system, is likely to feature deep integration with the most popular note-taking service Evernote. While Apple for instance has been working on integrating Facebook and Twitter deeper into its system, BlackBerry which values its corporate customers adds Evernote on top of that.

The finding comes shortly after RIM released the BlackBerry 10 SDK for developers to get serious about bringing their apps to BB10.

One of the new apps that has now come into focus in BlackBerry 10 is “Remember,” a personal information manager. Apart from aggregating emails, contacts and calendars, there is a separate “Notebooks” which is “folder-like object that contains notebook entries.”

“Notebooks are used to organize actionable and non-actionable items called notebook entries into separate folders or topics. For example, you can create a "grocery list" notebook that contains items you need to purchase, each of which can be marked as completed as it is added to your cart. Notebooks can also contain non-actionable notebook entries, such as photos taken on a trip.”

With competing platform Apple having a very basic note app and Android lacking a built-in notes application, this could be one kind of a differentiator BlackBerry has nailed right.
