The LG Optimus 2X was the first modern dual-core phone to hit retail, and its owners can be proud of it. What crippled their bragging rights so far, though, was the fact that LG took its sweet time with any Android update for the device.
Tons of ink were spilled on forums and Facebook posts demanding explanations and ETAs from LG, and apparently the company's had enough bashing about it, as the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update is hitting the Optimus 2X in Europe as we speak, after already appearing for the Korean version.
The v30a firmware can be installed via LG's computer sync program, and allegedly includes the latest Optimus UI 3.0, which you may or may not be fond of, but the Android update is certainly a proof that great things come to those who wait... then wait some more.
