We stumbled across Acase’s Black Diamond 3 ambient wireless speaker that recently launched and it’s an interesting little gadget. At first sight, it is just a weird Bluetooth speaker, but take a closer look and you’d discover a device that will also light up your room in a fixed or flowing color.
The Black Diamond 3 is diamond-shaped and it sparks and glitters with an LED light inside. What’s interesting that you can also have the light pulsating to the beat of the music.
Of course, it is compatible with iPhones, Samsung Galaxy S phones, and just about everything that supports Bluetooth. The speaker has 3W output and also comes with a remote control. You can also easily hook up non-Bluetooth devices via an audio out port.
For $120 it is also not as expensive as Jawbone’s Jambox, or Dr. Dre’s Beats Pill speaker, and it easily beats them both with its wow factor. In terms of sound quality, it seems that most reviewers agree it’s middling rather than best in class, but it is the LED lighting that really steals the show.
