Last month, Sprint customers became the first to have Android 4.1.1 rollout on the Samsung Galaxy S III. While that might have made owners of the phone on the other major carriers excited with the anticipation that the update was coming to their handset, the truth is that as of now, only Sprint has updated the phone. If leaks mean anything though, Verizon customers could be next. A leaked version of the update for Big Red has made it to the Xda developers forum where the speculation is that this leak represents the final build.

We would like to warn those who haven't a clue on how to install the ROM to just be patient and wait for Big Red to send you the OTA update. If you are a novice at this sort of thing, odds are that you will convert your Samsung Galaxy S III into a brick, not to mention void your warranty. Back in September, an earlier version of the update leaked with some GPS bugs which we would imagine are now all cleared up.

If you do install the update, let us know what you think. Many Verizon owners of the device are just dying to find out how smooth Project Butter makes their handset.
