"Good artists copy, great artists steal." You have heard this often misinterpreted quote so many times that you are probably confused with its meaning. Chances are, though, Picasso originally meant artists go through a ton of great ideas, “stealing” them but always breaking through their own personality so after that no one could recognize that “stolen” inspiration.
In the latest Microsoft Windows Phone ad? More like plain stealing. At least, you can clearly see the strange similarity with a commercial Google released for the Nexus at about the same time last year.
