Lil Wayne Taking Seizure Medication After Health Scare

"MTV First: Lil Wayne" 'I gotta drink four water bottles a day, that's what the doctors say,' Weezy reveals of his new health regimen.

A couple of days after Lil Wayne suffered from seizure-like symptoms aboard his private jet, forcing an emergency landing, the New Orleans native took to Twitter simply writing to fans, "Thanx for all the prayers! I am good." Wayne didn't want to make a big deal about the whole thing, but his recovery regimen includes seizure medication and plenty of water.
During the "MTV First" premiere of his "No Worries" music video, Wayne sat down with Sway Calloway inside his Trukstop skate park in New Orleans, but when things got a bit hot on set, the rapper-turned-skateboarder wanted to emphasize that his medication was affecting him.

"Please let them know that I have an air unit, but because of the sound, they don't want the air on, so it's super hot in here," Wayne declared, adding, "I don't want y'all to think I'm on nothing, man. I'm on seizure medicine, man, that's all."
Although his camp chalked the health scare up to dehydration and a severe migraine to avoid extra scrutiny, Wayne revealed that he is now taking medicine that prevents seizures and doctors have given him pretty strict orders since the incident — even if he isn't exactly adhering to their regimen.
"They said I gotta drink four water bottles a day, that's what the doctors say," Wayne said, almost in disbelief. "I just came from the doctor. I ain't drinking four water bottles, but everything's good."
Even though the news initially alarmed fans, Weezy's YMCMB crew has stressed that he's been well taken care of. "Everybody that's around him is taking care of him," Nicki Minaj told MTV News recently. "Wayne has so many people around him that truly, genuinely love him. I'm not worried at all. Even him being on the plane, thank God that there was somebody there right away that was able to help him. I'm just thankful that he was OK."
