There are two things Consumer Reports has been widely known for recently. First is not liking the iPhone and second is not liking AT&T. And while the publication has changed its opinion on Apple’s iPhone with the latest sixth-generation handset, its perception of AT&T has remained unchanged.
The nation’s second-largest carrier came up last in Consumer Reports carrier rankings this year again.
Its
closest competitor, Verizon Wireless, in stark contrast, ended up on
the other side of the list grabbing the best title and first place. The
U.S. largest carrier had excellent marks for both voice and data
service, along with knowledgeable staff.
And while Verizon got favorable rankings, Sprint and T-Mobile had “middling to low marks” for their voice and text services. Still better than AT&T.
Interestingly
enough, while overall AT&T came up last, it got the highest-rated
4G LTE network. Its customers had reported the least issues and
currently LTE spreads to 103 markets covering 150 million Americans.
