AN American TV network is offering $10 million (£6.25m) to anyone who can catch the elusive Bigfoot.
Spike TV has teamed up with international insurance market Lloyd’s of London to tempt budding explorers to appear on their new show 10 Million-Dollar Bigfoot Bounty, which they plan to air next year. Each episode will follow a team of ‘hunters’ in a remote part of America, using different methods to try and capture the legendary creature.
The Animal Planet network already has a similar series called Finding Bigfoot, but Spike TV’s senior vice-president Tim Duffy argues that the cash incentive will set this one apart. Duffy told The Huffington Post: “If this series idea had come in without that Lloyd’s of London mark attached to it, I don’t think we would have taken it seriously, but that’s no small chunk of change. What it signified to us was an opportunity to attract the best scientists, zoologists, trackers and Bigfoot hunters in the world in an attempt to prove or disprove its existence.”
