Starting at $329, the iPad mini can now be pre-ordered from Apple's online store.
The tablet is available in both Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi + cellular variants. The 'Wi-Fi only' iPad mini costs $329, $429 or $529 for 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB storage, respectively. Meanwhile, the 'Wi-Fi + cellular' iPad mini is priced at $459, $559 or $659 for 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB storage, respectively.
The Wi-Fi only iPad minis will be shipping as soon as September 2, but the Wi-Fi + cellular ones will come a bit later, somewhere around mid-November. Truth be told, we wouldn't be surprised if many Wi-Fi only iPad minis also come around mid-November, if not even later, as Apple is warning that the quantities are limited.
Announced just this Tuesday, the iPad mini is a more affordable and compact solution for consumers who either don't feel like paying for a 10" iPad, or simply want a smaller one. The iPad mini sports a 7.9" display with a resolution of 768 x 1024 pixels, a dual-core A5 processor, 5 MP main camera and LTE, if you've picked a Wi-Fi + cellular variant. Of course, users will also enjoy the iPad mini's exquisite design featuring a high-quality aluminum casing, but also a very light weight and remarkable thinness. The tablet is available in either black or white color.
