One of the cool new features that Google is introducing with Android 4.2 is the ability to take 360-degree photos straight from the stock camera application. In a nutshell, the smartphone or tablet's camera keeps on shooting images while the user pans about with their device, and then the individual photos are stitched together, thus one seamless (okay, mostly seamless) composite photograph is created.

And now that the platform and the first devices running it – the LG Nexus 4 and the Google Nexus 10 tablet, are official, the first 360-degree panoramas are already here.
