Samsung is holding an event in Germany tomorrow, and it’s clear that the device will be focused exactly on the European market. Shin only confirmed that the Galaxy S III Mini will have a smaller, 4-inch screen, and obviously a lower price, but there are no further details.
"We'll be launching a 4-inch Galaxy S III on the 11th in Germany,"Shin said. "There's a lot of demand for a 4-inch screen device in Europe. Some call it an entry-level device, but we call it 'mini.'"
Designwise, the handset should be very similar to the original S III. All of that sounds really good, and it comes just as the iPhone 5 has arrived, raising questions about the benefits of single-handed usage on a smaller screen. Samsung might just deliver that tomorrow, stay tuned.
