Samsung confirms October 24th introduction of the Samsung GALAXY Note II

Samsung confirms October 24th introduction of the Samsung GALAXY Note IIWith U.S. carriers like T-Mobile already letting the cat out of the bag and introducing the Samsung Galaxy Note II, Samsung has finally released the final version of the invitation for the October 24th event at which the device was to be announced for the states. The first version of the invite showed the S Pen with the line "The Next Big Thing is Here". The new invitation shows the actual phablet with the headline GALAXY Note II World Tour 2012 NYC. The action will begin at 7pm in two weeks at a New York City location.

Samsung expects the Samsung GALAXY Note II to double the number of sales achieved by the first model with 20 million units estimated to be picked up over the next year. The phablet sequel, in addition to having a larger 5.5 inch screen, a quad-core 1.6GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.1 pre-installed, has a host of new features like Multiwindows, and Smart Rotation. The buzz around the water cooler is that many are considering this to be the best Android smartphone hands down, taking the title from the Samsung Galaxy S III. With Jelly Bean pre-installed including Project Butter, all of those amazing features and a large screen that uses a RGB matrix instead of a Pentile display, whose to say that the Samsung Galaxy Note II isn't the best that Android has to offer?

While it is expected that the Korean manufacturer will introduce the device on the 24th, a leaked memo shows T-Mobile actually releasing the phablet on that date. We should know more in a couple of weeks.
