PAKISTANI director Iram Parveen Bilal, whose film Josh has been making headlines in Pakistan was ecstatic as the time for the world premiere of Josh neared. Josh is the only Pakistani film to be screened at the 14th Mumbai International Film Festival this year, and is the only fiction film from Pakistan to make it to the region’s most prestigious film festival in five years. Josh, English Title Against The Grain, is being screened in the highly prestigious world cinema category of the 14th Mumbai Film Festival, which is being held from the 18th of October to the 24th of October.
This year, Iram Parveen Bilal’s debut film “Josh” will be sharing the screen with Academy Award-winning filmmaker Michel Gondry, Palme D’Or Winner Michael Haneke, Ken Loach and Walter Salles, also being showcased in the same category.
